Gold

For this project I chose to look at gold, but more specifically I wanted to look at really fake looking gold. Items that were basically chrome yellow.

I’d been collecting a number of items over a long period of time and I put them all together for this project. What I found interesting was that most of the gold things I had collected were rubbish that would usually be thrown away. Some of the items I had found on the side of the street, tat from shops and decoration from packaging and gifts. It made me think about our perception of value. Of course gold is valuable, yet all that glitters is not gold. Regardless, do I personally find value in all of this rubbish?
